Ferial Harley’s Bio

After graduating from High School I attended a music college for a year to study opera and to also have opera singing lessons. Unfortunately, after a year, I had to leave the music college due to a change in circumstances.

In late 1971, I came to reside in Britain and in 1973, I worked as an auxiliary nurse at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children.

I married in 1974 and my main career in England was with The British Council (a Government Agency in London) with whom I worked for 18 years. In 1993, I took early retirement and we went to live in Philadelphia in the USA for family reasons.

In 1999, while we were in the US, I returned to music again and started writing. In 2001 and 2002 some of my songs were included on two compilation CDs, released by Pharaoh International Records in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA for promotional purposes.

We returned to the UK in 2003. In 2006, I signed a contract with Cringe Music (Publishing) for 3 of my music tracks. Additionally in 2007, Mike Colley (a co-writer of mine) and I registered a song entitled: "We're Rockin" (Harley/Colley) copyright 2007 Cringe Music mcps/prs.
